My First Mother's Day & Other Happenings!

This weekend I celebrated my first Mother's Day! What a sweet holiday :) Neither of our Moms were here so Joseph, Taylor, and I had a nice little family day! We took Taylor to church for the first time- she did great sleeping in her carseat for the first half and then in my arms for the rest. We then went to brunch and drove around a little on the golf cart because it was a beautiful day! We met Baby Ella (Joseph's cousin who lives behind us had sweet baby Ella on Wednesday, May 8th so she and Taylor are one month apart)! She looked so new and tiny compared to our big 5 week old (today)!! To finish off a great day, we went down to the marshwalk and enjoyed ice cream cones from Twisters and strolled Taylor down the boardwalk. Feeling very blessed and thankful for this sweet littel girl because I love being a Mommy :)

Saturday, Taylor experienced her first beach day!! Not an extreme fan...yet. We will work on it! We used our awesome tent from Stuart and enjoyed the sun for a couple of hours before the clouds rolled in.

Saturday evening we went to dinner with Kim and Zach to celebrate their last weekend before they become parents!! They will be having the babies on Friday morning...can't wait to meet these sweet little babies!

Yesterday, I drove to Pinewood to visit Morgan Barwick, Liza, and new Baby Johnny! Liza is absolutely adorable and Johnny is so sweet and little. He is such a good baby who just lays wherever his mama puts him while she plays/chases Liza around ;) After our visit, Taylor and I made our way to Kingsbury Elementary to visit Mom at work and let some of her friends meet Taylor. It was a great little visit! Taylor slept the entire way there and on the way home, minus the last 10 minutes...hungry baby!

Taylor continues to do great and is growing everyday. Last week she slept through the night twice!! I still only get up with her once at night though so we are very grateful for her good sleeping patterns! Still not loving the paci but her favorite seems to be the Nuk latex. However, it usually gags her at first. She is spitting up a little more now but nothing terrible. Everyday she gets more smiley, which I love!! I can't help but smile when she smiles! We are loving the warm weather which is great for walks and cute clothes ;)
